Lonerider Adding Nitro Bottle “Weaver Trail”

Everyone’s favorite outlaw brewery Lonerider (Raleigh, NC) is looking to release a nitro stout bottle this year. Left Hand Brewing made a craft beer splash with the release of Nitro Milk Stout bottles at 2011’s Great American Beer Festival.

Weaver Trail is an irish style dry stout, absolutely meant to be poured into a glass.

Weaver Trail is a nitro beer. Turnt he bottle completely upside down and pour to the bottom of the glass to expose the natural cascading bubbles and frothy head that everyone loves in an Irish Stout. Nitrogen bubbles will not rise over your glass like a normally carbonated beer. Don’t be afraid! Be an Outlaw!

Style: Irish Stout (Nitro)
Availability: 22oz bottles
Arrival: TBA

5% ABV,  30 IBUS

Lonerider Adds to Most Wanted Series

Meet Cowboy in Black – a Black IPA and the newest addition to Lonerider’s Most Wanted Series. The beer will be launched on April 20, 2013 in limited quantities.

The inky night considers Cowboy In Black its friend. He is also our interpretation of the cult followed Black IPA style.  A precarious balance of bitter hops and roasted malts allows you to taste beer’s most aggressive characters all in one very well balanced and tasty brew!”

Style: Black IPA
Availability: Draft
Arrival: April 20 2013

Lonerider Brewing Tweaks Artwork

Lonerider Re Brand

As you can see from the artwork above, Lonerider Brewing (Raleigh, NC) is tweaking their package artwork a bit. Josie, Betty are looking sexier as ever, while the Peacemaker  just looks a little ominous. New packaging is already shipping into the North Carolina market.

Georgia (the brewery’s newest market) is expected to have 12oz bottles by Summer, 2013.

Lonerider Brewing Launches in Atlanta [PICS]

Lonerider Brewing Atlanta Launch

Lonerider Brewing Company (Raleigh, NC) has officially expanded outside of North Carolina to Atlanta this past weekend. The brewery traveled to Atlanta for a series of launch parties around the city.  Initial launch beers include:

Sweet Josie – A temptress who will seduce you, Sweet Josie is crafted in the American Brown style. This is a complex beer balancing a nice hop bitterness with a generous amount of chocolate and aromatic malts. 6.1% ABV.

Shotgun Betty is a sexy, tough cowgirl who is always armed and dangerous. Don’t be fooled by her good looks, she will have you for an appetizer! That’s why we picked her to represent our Hefeweizen. Shotgun Betty is a wheat beer with a rich, banana-clove nose and refreshing dry finish. Sound good? Try one. But beware, once Betty gets a hold of you there is no escape. 5.8% ABV

Both are initially offered on draft, with 12oz bottles to follow in the future. More from the brewery’s lineup coming soon also. It has been a long road to this point too, as getting approved in the State of Georgia took 2 months longer than expected. Lonerider “Beer With No Name” Releases Saturday

Lonerider Beer With No Name

It’s time for another seasonal release from Lonerider Brewing Company (Raleigh, NC). You might know this beer by another name. I won’t say it. I wouldn’t want to confuse an historical figure with beer name. Or a brewery. It’s better if we don’t use names. Like this one…The Beer With No Name. In the spirit of strong Belgian Christmas beers (St. Bernardus, Corsendonk, Scaldis) No Name is a Belgian style dubbel, brewed with caramelized beet sugar.

Being strong is not a choice, it’s a requirement, and giving up your name is one of the strongest things you can do. Learn why we call this beer The Beer With No Name at loneriderbeer.com. The Beer With No Name is still our holiday ale, a Belgian style Dubbel brewed with a rare Belgian yeast strain, caramelized beet sugar and festive holiday spices. Expect hints of dark fruit, sweet cinnamon-apple and a warming finish.

The brewery will hold a release party on Saturday, December 8 from 12-7 pm. They will be showing off their spiffy new tap room.

Style: Dubbel (w/ Beet Sugar)
Availability: 22 oz bombers. Limited Release
Release: 12/8/12

 8% ABV

Lonerider Atlanta Distribution Delayed

Lonerider Brewing Company (Raleigh, North Carolina) is expanding distribution to Atlanta. The expansion brings two beers to the state – Shotgun Betty (Hefeweizen) , and Sweet Josie Brown (Brown ale, genius).  Both should have already be flowing in Atlanta, but label approval from the state has not been obtained. Government bureaucracy is keeping these ladies out of your glass.

ETA is now late October, fingers crossed.

UPDATE 12/12/12: Officially approved for the State of Georgia. These sexy ladies are ready for glasses.
