Duclaw Mayhem, July 22nd

Duclaw Mayhem Weizenbock

Duclaw Mayhem Weizenbock will be available starting July 22nd.

Mayhem Weizenbock is full bodied and muddy brown in color with a creamy beige head. Dominated by a rich, malty flavor, Mayhem creates chaos on the palate with an anarchic mix of clove and banana flavors from the German yeast used in fermentation, while wreaking havoc on the rest of the senses with an unruly 7.5% alcohol content all the way through to its tart finish. Rules were made to be broken – order up some disorder!

Duclaw Mayhem will be available in 12 ounce bottles and draft at all the brewery locations.

Duclaw 13 Degrees Hefe Returns July 1

Duclaw 13 Degrees Hefeweizen

Duclaw 13 Degrees Hefeweizen returns July 1st, 2015. A German-style hefeweizen, brewed with Pilzen malt, and wheat.

13 Degrees exemplifies the German-style Hefeweizen. Made with a 50/50 mix of malted wheat and barley malt, it is straw- colored with a lingering white head atop a chaotically cloudy, medium body. The beer is left unfiltered to capture the distinct clove and banana flavors contributed by the style-specific strain of yeast used in fermentation.

Duclaw 13 Degrees is avaiable at all Duclaw locations starting July .

Duclaw Hop Continuum #2 Mosaic Red IPA, May 13th

Duclaw Hop Continuum #2 Mosaic Red IPA joins the hoppy series on May 13th. This edition is a “red” IPA, brewed with Mosaic hops.

A Red IPA hopped solely with Mosaic hops, Mosaic Red is medium-bodied and crisp, with flavor and aroma profiles dominated by big, vibrant citrus flavors like tangerine, apricot, and mango, accented by resinous notes of pine.

Duclaw Hop Continuum #2 Mosaic Red IPA will be available in 12oz bottles and draft.

Duclaw X-10, Brewed with Cantaloupe

Duclaw X-10 is the tenth entry into the brewery’s eXile Series. For this release the brewery took a saison and added cantaloupe.

 Both flavor and aroma are dominated by cantaloupe backed by vibrant citrus fruit & subtle spicy flavors derived from a custom blend of Belgian yeast strains used in its creation, and balanced by a bready malt character and subtle hop bitterness that last through to the beer’s refreshing, dry finish…

Duclaw X-10 releases at all the brewery’s locations starting April 8th.

Hops: Tettnang, Golding
Malts: Pilsner, Vienna, and Rye Malt; and Torrified Wheat

DuClaw H.E.R.O. 2015 Winner Announced

DuClaw Brewing has announced the winner of their H.E.R.O homebrew competition – Jalapeño Business, brewed by Mitch Kreis of Pasadena, Maryland.

Mitch did a fantastic job balancing the heat of the pepper, hop bitterness, honey sweetness, and malt backbone to create a truly unique IPA. Congratulations, Mitch, you’ve earned it by beating out a tough field!

DuClaw  Jalapeño Business will be available in a limited run of 22oz bottles, and draft. Every penny of the sales goes to charity. Bankshot Brown Ale, brewed by Mark Girard of Annandale, Virginia was the runner up in the competition.
