Clown Shoes Evil Crawfish hit shelves in late November, 2015. No, it doesn’t have actually crawfish in it.
The beer started with someone asking for Eagle Claw Fist (the brewery’s imperial amber) but ordered it wrong – as Evil Crawfish. The joke has become it’s own beer, with Eagle Claw Fist in mind.
Once upon a time a man walked into a bar where a friend of our’s was tending the taps. He tried to order an Eagle Claw Fist, but got it wrong and asked for an Evil Crawfish. When we heard the story, after much laughter, we knew one day we’d make the beer. Finally, here it is, built off of ECF, but cleaner, meaner, less bitter, and dry hopped with Citra, El Dorado, and Mosaic.
Clown Shoes Evil Crawfish is available in 22 ounce bottles.
Style: Imperial Red Ale

Clown Shoes Whammy Bar will mark the Ipswich, Massachusetts brewery’s 6th Anniversary.
What does a brewery known for their barrel aged beers brew for their 6th birthday? An IPA of course. You’ll recall Clown Shoes labels features characters like Dragons, Minnie Quay, Gargoyles and more. Most of the characters are brewery reps, or someone associated with the team. The Clown Shoes Whammy Bar rocks seventeen different characters on it. You’ll see a few familiar folks.
Soulful tunes and good beer touch the best part of us here at Clown Shoes. Whammy Bar is brewed in a West Coast style, dry hopped with Galaxy, Ella, Mosaic, and Columbus hops, then balanced with song from a cast of characters that composes our orchestral team. We encourage those of you who drink this beer to listen to the music that you love most.
