Karl Strauss Re-releases Peanut Butter Cup Porter
It has become an instant hit already. Karl Strauss’ Peanut Butter Cup Porter was first released in 2012 and 80 kegs were killed in 5 days. With more on the way, Karl is bringing a 40 barrel batch to Los Angeles Beer Week this year. That’s 80 more to last the week.
The beer is brewed with chocolate and caramel malts with some peanut powder. Cocoa nibs are added for extra chocolate flavor. The final product is roasty porter flavor with a smooth chocolate and peanut butter finish.
The brewery plans on bottling this in the future. (The next whale for sure.)

Beer Engineers Peanut Butter Porter
Dear Elvis, Rogue VooDoo Doughnut Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Ale
Rogue’s second VooDoo Doughnut beer should be popping up at your favorite beer spots shortly if not already. VooDoo Doughnut Chocolate, Peanut butter, and Banana Ale is the latest tribute to Portland’s Voo Doo Doughnut Shop, which features specialty doughnuts such as a maple bacon bar (which inspired Rogue’s first beer, Maple Bacon Porter), doughnuts with Captain Crunch on top, and doughnuts dipped in everything from bubblegum dust to tang. Terrapin’s “Liquid Bliss” Should Arrive This Week
Terrapin’s Liquid Bliss Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter should arrive in stores this week. Bliss, aka Side Project #18 by the Athens, Georgia brewery is first time brewmaster “Spike” and crew have released a beer like this this. It took some time to get the recipe right when brewing with peanuts & peanut butter.

A New Rogue Voodoo Doughnut Flavor: Chocolate, Peanut Butter & Banana Ale
Rogue Ales (Newport, OR) made a real splash in the beer world when then unveiled Voodoo Donut Ale. In honor of a Portland Oregon based Voodoo Donuts breaking the world record for largest box of donuts (666 lbs), the brewery made the first Voodoo Doughnut ale- Maple Bacon Porter. Brewed with real bacon, maple syrup, smoked malt, and vanilla beans. I believe there were even media kits running around that had a pink condom in it.
Looks like another edition is on the horizon – Voodoo Donut Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana. By the looks of it, this beer is modeled after the Memphis Mafia donut. (Elvis inspired? See below.) As it’s predecessor, looks like big painted pink bottles again for this edition.

Blue Moon Variations Include Peanut Butter
Blue Moon looks to be experimenting with some pretty extreme flavors. (Especially when you look at what they have BEEN brewing for some time now.) There is a Spiced Amber Ale arriving in the late fall. Check out these flavor variants. Interesting- the abv variations.
