Mammoth Releases Barrel Aged Blondibock Friday
Mammoth Brewing (Mammoth Lakes, CA) is spending today transferring this blonde beauty to the brite tank (finishing tank). Tomorrow she’ll find bottles, and Friday on sale to Mammoth fans. Blondibock was first brewed as Bluesapalooza Blonde Bock last summer. Since the beer was so well received, Karl Anderson and brewing team decided to brew it again.
Back in March, the crew set to work on round two. After two weeks of fermentation, Blondibock was transferred to Heaven Hill bourbon barrels for three months. That’s where a lot this bock beer gets its flavor and color.

SEASONAL RETURN: Sierra Nevada Glissade
Even though it doesn’t feel like spring, it’s never too early to drink like it is. Dark malty bocks and dopplebocks are great for fall and winter. Lighter bocks are spring bocks. Don’t worry about not getting your malt fix in warmer weather. Sierra Nevada’s Glissade has returned.
Commercial Description:
As winter begins its slide toward the sunny days of spring, we bring you Glissade Golden Bock to help you enjoy the ride. Glissade is a remarkably mellow take on the traditional spring bock. With restrained sweetness, we emphasize subtle malt flavor, balanced against delicate aromas of spicy and floral European hops. This complex balance helps Glissade slide across the palate–bracing us against the last cold nights of winter, while its bright golden color turns our thoughts toward spring.
