DuClaw El Kabong, with chilies & apricots

DuClaw El Kabong bottle

DuClaw El Kabong is the latest release by the Maryland brewer.

The base beer is brewed with two types of chilies, as well as apricot. The brewery doesn’t mention the base beer style, the than “ale”.

This medium bodied, clear copper ale is crisp & lively, with a surprisingly refreshing mix of deep, dark, fruit sweetness and spicy accents of Chile de Arbol & Ancho Chilie that is at once shocking and throughly drinkable.

DuClaw El Kabong is a 12 ounce bottle offering.

Style: Fruit Beer (w/ Apricots, Chilies)
Availability: 12oz Bottles, Draft. Seasonal
Release: Early March, 2016

6% ABV

Dogfish Head Romantic Chemistry released

Dogfish Head Romantic Chemistry IPA

Dogfish Head Romantic Chemistry is a new seasonal by the Delaware-based brewery, debuting this week at their home base.

Dogfish Head’s most popular style – the India pale ale, has been enhanced by mangoes, ginger, and apricots. It may sound odd to use all three together, but hey – that’s some Dogfish Head Romantic Chemistry (Punny, right?) A bit like Aprihop, but with a little extra.

What you have here is a serious IPA shacking up & hunkering down with mangoes and apricots. At the same time!

Dogfish Head Romantic Chemistry will be available in 12 ounce bottles and draft starting in February, 2016.

Style: Imperial IPA (w/ Mango, Apricots, Ginger)
Availability: 12 ounce bottles, Draft. Seasonal
Debut: February, 2016

8% ABV

Article updated with February release dates.

Schlafly The Eleventh Labor, an apricot sour

Schlafly 11th Labor

Schlafly The Eleventh Labor is the second addition to the brewery’s Ibex Series. The ibex, a wild goat, can be traced back to the village seal of Steinhof, where brewery founder Tom Schlafly’s great grandfather was born.

“The Ibex Series is a celebration of our foundation at Schlafly Beer to utilize high quality ingredients and consistently challenge our brewing team to deliver a superior product,” Schlafly Brewer Augie Altenbaumer. “With the Eleventh Labor, every element from the label to the packaging of the kegs exemplifies the craftsmanship of our Ibex beers.”
