People have beer habits. People have beer traditions. Recently Anheuser-Busch became the exclusive beer provider for Wrigley Field. (That means Bud products, and even Goose Island.)
What that also means is that Old Style Beer, owned by Pabst, will go away. However, they aren’t ready to let go of a drinking tradition, or to go down without a fight.
The Old Style website is urging those that want Old Style to stay in Wrigley Field to sign a petition to keep it. Right now there are barely 1,000 signatures. A twitter hashtag has also appeared. #keepoldstyleinwrigley
The beer is down, but not out.
