Spotlight: Harpoon Flannel Friday, the brewery’s newest seasonal

Harpoon Flannel Friday can

Harpoon Flannel Friday has joined the Boston, Massachusetts based brewery’s lineup this month. Just slightly ahead of colder weather.

Replacing their early fall offering, Oktoberfest, Harpoon Flannel Friday is a hoppy amber ale. The hops of choice are Citra and Cascade.

A bright hop aroma from Cascade and Citra hop additions complements its strong and complex malt backbone. Amber hued, medium bodied, with hints of citrus and pine, Flannel Friday is meant for the crisp days of fall.

The beer got its name from the first day of chilly weather where everyone at the brewery shows up in flannel.

What you’ll taste: Fall was made for malty beers, and Flannel has it. Citra and Cascade are bold hops, bringing notes of citrus and pine into the mix. A great transition into cooler weather.

Harpoon Flannel Friday is a 12 ounce can and draft offering as a seasonal release. Incidentally, the first seasonal release since 1989.
