Breckenridge Grows Again [PICS]

Breckenridge Brewery grows again.  As of last week, the brewery added 4 more 300-barrel fermenters. (Each fermenter holds 9,300 gallons of beer, for a total of 37, 200 gallons at a time.)  Total annual capacity is now 75,000 barrels (or 2.3 million gallons of beer).

First Breckenridge/Stranahan’s Collab Debuts Next Week

A few months ago, Breckenridge Brewing struck a deal with Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey, making them the only brewery that can use their name.  In a matter of days, the first batch of Stranahan’s Well Built E.S.B. aged in Stranahan’s whiskey barrels will be released.

The E.S.B. will be packed in 750ml bottles, with 200 cases released initially.  Per the agreement, Breckenridge must release at least 1,250 cases by fall, 2013.

Breckenridge Brewing Lands Exclusive Rights To Use Stranahan’s Name

A couple of months ago we learned that Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey was cutting off the supply of its whiskey barrels to brewers outside of the state of Colorado and that they would no longer allow anyone to use their name on these barrel aged beers’ bottles.  Well, Breckenridge Brewing has worked out an exclusive deal to be the only brewer in the nation to be allowed to use the Stranahan’s name on their beer bottles.  Other Colorado breweries can still use the barrels, but not the name.

The first beer that Breckenridge Brewing will introduce since striking this deal will be called Stranahan’s Well-Built ESB, borrowing the whiskey maker’s catch phrase for the name.  … Read the rest

Catch A Cab At Breckenridge

Breckenridge Brewery will be selling an extremely limited number of bottles of the rare Summer Cab Ride on Saturday, November 12th at its tasting room in Denver, CO.  Summer Cab Ride is Summerbright Golder Ale aged in cabernet barrels.  Breckenridge hand packaged 240 cork and caged 750ml bottles.  Get yours, first come first serve starting at 1pm on the 12th.

Field To Fermenter With Peachfork Wheat

Breckenridge Brewing celebrates the Colorado harvest season with Peachfork Wheat.  This wheat beer features fresh Colorado peaches, pureed just yesterday and added to the beer.

The peaches come from Peachfork Orchards & Vineyard of Palisade, Colorado.  Peachfork has been seen one other time, laste year as part of the brewery’s Small Batch Occasionals line of beers.
