Good People Brewing teams up with Buffalo Rock Ginger Ale

Buffalo Rock Ginger Ale

Birmingham, Alabama’s Good People Brewing has partnered with Buffalo Rock Company to release Buffalo Rider – a shandy style beer.

The shandy is a beer blended with lemonade (or something similar). Buffalo Rider is a “shandygaff” or a beer blended with ginger ale.

For this release, Good People is using an apricot wheat base they house brewed, to blend with the Buffalo Rock Ginger Ale.

“We’re extremely excited to partner with Buffalo Rock on this project,” said Michael Sellers, who cofounded Good People in 2008 with his friend Jason Malone. “This traditionally Southern ginger ale has such a unique and interesting flavor that we thought it would pair nicely with one of our lower alcohol beers.”

The new year-round beer hybrid will be available at the Magic City Brewfest, and in the Good People taproom starting June 3rd. Distribution to follow shortly after.
