Funky Buddha Undefeated Saison for NFL’s only undefeated team

Funky Buddha Undefeated Saison

Funky Buddha Undefeated Saison returns for a third year starting today, November 1st.

This beer is a tribute to the 1972 Miami Dolphins, who won their fourteen regular season games, three postseason games, Super Bowl VII, finishing 17-0. The Dolphins are still the only NFL team to accomplish this feat. (Every team has a loss in the 2016-2017 season as well.)

Funky Buddha Undefeated Saison is a bit like a biere de brut. The saison is brewed with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grape must, and bottle-conditioned with champagne yeast. Inspired not only by the team’s record, but an urban legend that the members of the 1972 team raise a glass of champagne raise a glass in unison after the last undefeated team falls each season.

The result is a bubbly brew fit for celebration — as in toasting the still unmatched reign of our 1972 champs.

Funky Buddha Undefeated Saison is available in 750 milliliter, foil top bottles. $14/retail.

Style: Saison (w/ Grape Must.)
Availability: 750ml Bottles. 3,000 bottle release.
Latest Return: 11/1/16

?? ABV

Fun Fact: It wasn’t until 2013 that the 1972 Dolphins got their trip to the White House.

Funky Buddha Creates Pizza Collaboration

Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza, the South Florida-based concept that uses authentic coal-burning ovens to create “well done pizza,” has teamed up with Fort Lauderdale-based Funky Buddha Brewery. The result is a beer to debut exclusively at Anthony’s called Fuhgeddaboudit Red.

Fuhgeddaboudit is an “Italian-American” ale brewed with European barley and English hops. The red ale is meant to pair well with Anthony’s coal fired pizza and red sauce.

“This collaboration makes so much sense to us because, as companies, we share a lot in common,” says KC Sentz, Owner and General Manager at Funky Buddha Brewery. “With both of our roots here in the Fort Lauderdale area and our commitment to the finest, natural ingredients, this beer will be a perfect pairing.”

Fuhgeddaboudit Red Ale will debut on February 14th, at the following locations: Coral Springs, Fort Lauderdale, Pembroke Pines, Plantation, Pompano Beach and Weston in Broward; Aventura, Coral Gables, Doral, Kendall, Miami Lakes and Pinecrest in Miami-Dade; Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Stuart and Wellington in Palm Beach and the Treasure Coast.

Style: Red Ale
Availability: Draft only. Limited release

5.4% ABV

Movie Theater Food Themed Beer Debuts This Week

One of the most interesting collaborations yet in 2012 has to be Snack Attack!  A three way brew with Bluejacket Brewery (opening in 2013), Funky Buddha and Cigar City.  The beer is inspired by movie theater food.   The beer is brewed with Florida sea salt, cacao nibs, vanilla beans and dry-roasted peanuts. Cigar City says expect this flavor when you’re drinking.

…peanut butter cups, milk duds, black licorice, chocolate-covered peanuts and salted caramel.

First available in Cigar City’s tap room on Thursday at 11 am. No growlers.
