Allagash Midnight Brett Has Bottle Potential

A limited batch of Allagash Merveilleux has been hitting shelves across the brewery’s markets. Hopefully Midnight Brett Ale will do the same.

First released in May this year, Midnight Brett is an American wild ale that is brown in color. It is brewed with midnight wheat (a dark wheat malt) and rye, then fermented with brettanomyces. Flavor:  “The finished beer has the aroma and flavor of fresh berries, sour cherries and a slight roasted character. The finish is pleasantly tart and fruity making this beer very drinkable.”

If Midnight Brett hits distribution, it would join FV 13 and Merveilleux in 12.7 oz bottle limited releases in 2013.
